OKAMA LAKE

Okama is the famous crater lake at the top of Mount Zao. From Hara Pension it is a 30 minute drive. We recommend driving 20 minutes and taking a scenic 10 minute lift ride to the top. The color of the lake changes depending on the weather. It is said to have "5 different colors". The lake is accessible May - October only.
